Twenty Five Twenty One Season 1 Episode 4 recap

The episode starts with the last moments from the previous episode, when Yu-rim tells Hee-do that she will always be there for her. Additionally, she also tells Hee-do that she will definitely recognize her if they meet each other.

The next morning, Hee-do, who is still angry at Yi-jin, ignores the newspaper and slippers that Yi-jin left at her house. Hee-do sees a dancing Ji-Woong and pleads him to help her with dance choreography hoping to pass Coach Yang’s training.

After much pleading, Ji-woong invites Hee-do to his and Seung-wan’s secret hangout place. Finally, Ji-woong decides to teach her after one condition: leave Yu-rim’s favorite pine-flavored drink on her locker everyday for him. Hee-do is not happy but obliged to do so.

Hee-do then goes to Coach Yang’s office where she was asked about going against Da-Suel last night and leaving Yu-rim by herself cleaning the floor. Hee-do is being childish for thinking that Coach Yang favors the senior over her but Coach Yang reminds her that it is not about that matter, but rather to highlight her recklessness over the skill of thinking strategically ahead. This attitude of hers is being reflected in her fencing style.

On the other note, Yi-jin attends a job interview but unfortunately fails to get in. He go home in sad spirits and eventually slumps down at the gate where he rents at. A cheerful Hee-do sees him and tries to ignore him, but Yi-jin is glad to see that she finally wears the slippers he gave him. Hee-do checks on him and eventually got to know about Yi-jin failing the job interview. They had a good chat until Yi-jin falls asleep. Hee-do leaves him with a blanket and note “failed at an interview today, do not ‘distrub’.”

The next day, Hee-do leaves the pine-flavored drink on Yu-rim’s locker and sees the umbrella she gave to her before they met. It pulls a string in her heart as she reminisce. On the other hand, Yi-jin had a mouthful of advises and laughs as neighbors knew about him failing the job interview. He returns home and sees Seung-wan being polite again. He confronts her that this is making him uncomfortable so Seung-wan tells him that she has high regards about him being part of Tae Yang Broadcasting alumni.

At fencing gym, Hee-do bursts through the door towards Da-seul, making a huge apology of being rude to her the other night and overstepping her boundaries. Since Da-Seul is against juniors training by themselves at night without her, Hee-do convinces that seniors that everyone should train together as a team to promote camaraderie. Behind the scenes, Coach Yang laughs at how things turned up.

After school, Ji-woong and Yu-rim got to ride the same bus going to Ahyeon-dong, each with their own agenda. Yu-rim plans to deliver some food to Yi-jin as requested by her mother while Ji-woong plans to visit Seung-wan to return her bag.

Hee-do is now confronted by thugs who she beaten up the other day. For obvious reasons, she runs away and her training with Coach Yang now is greatly noticed and appreciated as she runs so fast that those thugs could no longer catch up. Timely, Yi-jin arrives at the scene in his luxury car after picking it up from his aunt, who hopes to get it disposed of since it was Yi-jin’s car in the first place. Yi-jin offers Hee-do a ride to escape from the thugs and rides her home. They had a casual yet budding relationship as they share the ride home, starting with Yi-jin correcting her ‘do not distrub.’

In the pouring rain, Ji-woong and Yu-rim, as well as Yi-jin and Hee-do are enjoying their time getting soaked in the rain. And they all coincidentally arrives at Seung-wan’s place at the exact time, making the atmosphere a bit awkward. Yu-rim is not comfortable seeing Yi-jin together with Hee-do, nor is Ji-woong seeing Yu-rim upset and questions over Yi-jin. A walking Seung-wan also arrives with the four in front of her house.

The awkward tension breaks when they heard a loud scream. When they arrived at Seung-wan’s house, the mother has dropped off a bowl of loaches. Everyone tried to catch as many as they can and ends up eating a dinner with made by Seung-wan’s mother. She also takes a photo of them all while eating meal.

In the present time, Min-chae’s grandmother is happy to see again this same photo with Min-chae. She visits Hee-do and shows her this photo as well, and telling her that she met him last month.

The next day, Yu-rim caught Hee-do putting the drink on her locker and being creeped out by her being two-faced. After dance choreaography practice, Hee-Do is embarrassed about what had happened with Yu-rim and tells Ji-woong to clear her name with Yu-rim. Ji-woong did so later on.

At fencing gym, Coach Yang questions what did Hee-do had learnt after memorizing the dance choreography. It is about improving her perspective. Next up, Coach Yang suits up into fencing gear as she prepares to be Hee-do’s sparring partner for the final training. Hee-do gets defeated up but hold her high up as she has learn so much, with Coach Yang making sure that there will not be one contender in the competition greater than her. Coach Yang congratulates Hee-do as she finally completed her training for the National Team and Hee-do expresses how honored she is to be her coach.

Yi-jin drops by at the fencing gym where Hee-do had her sparring practice with Coach Yang. Hee-do let Yi-jin suit up into a fencing gear after he has shown interest in it and the two shares a sparring match with a bet on the line. Yi-jin wins and expresses that seeing Hee-do stand up after every after defeat – that strong-minded will of her makes him miss her when he is weak. The school lights go out and Yi-jin steps in to make a flash of green light. Hee-do asks him why does Yi-jin root for him, and Yi-jin tells her it is because she gives him hope and he wants more for her.
