The Daily Life of the Immortal King (Chinese: 仙王的日常生活, Pinyin: Xian Wang de Richang Shenghuo) is a donghua or Chinese animation based on the same name of a Chinese novel by Kuxuan. The novel is published by Qidian of China Literature in Chinese and Webnovel in English. It began daily serialization in 2017. As of 30 June 2021, the novel has 1880 chapters, 1176 chapters of which have been translated into English. It also has a manhua or Chinese comic. The Daily Life of the Immortal King Season 1 Episode 3
The episode starts with students bringing their own cauldrons for their pill refining class. One student brings a MI brand, while the other brings a Fruit iFire Xmax furnace. Chen Chao, who intends to bring pride to their family name, brings his family’s precious cauldron which was used by his great-grandfather to refine Level 9 golden pills and has been passed onto several generations.
During their class, Guo Hao checks out his classmate’s cauldron: Sun Rong using her family’s factory cauldron and Wang Ling using a typical microwave as his furnace. Guo Hao scoffs and opens his cauldron: an elegant shape and antique style cauldron. It has a built-in temperature control and display of position and time. It also can automatically judge the fengshui direction and take in spiritual force.
Unfortunately, Chen Chao’s cauldron explodes and is wrecked. Chen Chao runs away from the class in tears as he know that his father will get really upset about what had happened to their precious family’s cauldron.
The teacher and students leave their cauldrons inside the class until 5p.m. Tuntian sees this opportunity to eat up Guo Hao’s cauldron as he can sense it’s spiritual force. Tuntian things of this as his small step to once again become a demon king. Wang Ling tuns up the light and says he knows that Tuntian was up to something, and luckily he came in time. After beating up Tuntian, Wang Ling cleans Guo Hao’s cauldron with running water in the man’s bathroom. Guo Hao happens to see him out, gets upset and becomes aggressive. He thinks that Wang Ling is after his beautiful cauldron.
He squirts out a purple liquid from his water gun to Wang Ling who dodged it easily. On the other hand, an exhausted and in a mind devil state, Chen Chao was right behind Wang Ling attempting to probably hurt him because of his jealousy about Sun Rong. Chen Chao has taken in Guo Hao’s purple liquid by mouth, which is later revealed to be pentatoxic potion that is intended for external use. Wang Ling attempts to cure Chen Chao by art of grand purification but Guo Hao stops him and instead suggest Wang Ling to create an antidote. If they successfully cure Chen Chao, Guo Hao says he can forgive Wang Ling for taking his cauldron. Wang Ling agrees.
Guo Hao panics that they have to wait four hours for refining Chen Chao’s antidote because the teacher and students will be back in two hours time. Tuntian sneaks from behind, attempting again to eat up Guo Hao’s cauldron for spiritual force. Guo Hao protects his cauldron for casting a fire magic on Tuntian who control timelines. With enough spiritual force, Guo Hao and Wang Ling hits Tuntian to speeds up the heating process.
Guo Hao and Wang Ling successfully create the antidote and cures Chen Chao and at the same time, the teacher and the students arrive at the classroom for their pills. The teacher checks each of their pills for grading. Upon checking Guo Hao, the teacher grades his golden vitality pill a score of 85%. Guo Hao knows that he needs two more steps to go but was surprised to see a nice looking golden vitality pill. And when the teacher checks out Wang Ling’s pill, she is upset how terrible the pill is. Guo Hao is touched to know that Wang Ling must have sneaked his vitality pill into Guo Hao’s cauldron, and Wang Ling took Chen Chao’s burnt pill. What Guo Hao did not know is that his vitality pill has been inside his cauldron all this time, and Wang Ling’s microwave just did not serve right to create a vitality pill. As for Chen Chao, he is sleeping and recovering quietly inside his broken cauldron. Guo Hao and Wang Ling repairs Chen Hao’s cauldron using Guo Hao’s copper cauldron and Tuntian’s timeline magic.

Steps to make vitality pills:
- Get a Yangcheng pot ready
- Take gold sand, tortoise shell and dragon bone
- Cut up, grind and put it into the Yangcheng pot
- Cut up some Acorus tatarinowii
- Cut up some Radix polygalae. Scatter it inside the pot
- Add Powder Number 15
- Add 8 drops of lapis lazuli oil
- Flatten it, put it in the furnace
- Close the furnace
- Tape and seal up the furnace
- Start the fire
- Wait for seven hours until the vitality pills becomes golden in colour

- Vigna Anguaris rolls, 80g.
- Ligusticum striatum, 90g.
- Scutellaria baicalensis, 90g.
