Kim Jun-Wan is worried over his girlfriend Lee Ik-Soon’s Health
In the previous episode, Jun-Wan is worried about his girlfriend I-Soon’s health due to injury she had. And in this episode, Jun-Wan struggles with information as Ik-Soon says that she is fine and he does not need to worry. Jun-Wan is not convinced and cannot stop fretting about it.
Min-Chan has a successful heart surgery
Jun-Wan delivers the good news to Min-Chan’s parents as the surgery went well and Min-Chan is getting used to her new heart. As token of gratitude, the parents offered Jun-Wan a lunch with the nearest and most expensive restaurant, which Jun-Wan politely declines because he is not allowed to accept it as per hospital rules but thanks them for the thoughtfulness.
Jae-Hak talks Jun-Wan’s Social Media
While lunch break, Jae-Hak shares his social media to Jun-Wan about his wife’s photo. Jun-Wan looks uninterested but Jae-Ha was encouraging him to share his life more with his girlfriend. He takes a photo of Jun-Wan and shares it on Jun-Wan’s social media with a caption and hashtag.
Eun-Ji is running out of time
Jae-Hak reports to Jun-Wan that Eun-ji has list motor function down one side. So Jun-Wan advices that the child needs a CT scan and asks him to update the mother.
After the scan, Eun-ji’s motor function returned without any clue. Jun-Wan talks with the parents about what had happened and this time, Eun-ji’s mother finally opened up. She explains how every day feels like torture, she’s exhausted and if it is time to let her child go. Jun-Wan tells her not to give up, and they will find a heart transplant. Even if Jun-Wan is not sure if they will ever get a heart donor on time.
Jun-Wan opens up to Ik-Joon, but not about Ik-Soon
Ik-joon asks Jun-wan if he’s eaten, so he takes him for a coffee. He tells him to cut down on surgeries and talk to his chief of department about it and Jun-Wan tells him that he is that chief. Ik-Joon later tells him that he wants to drop by Jun-Wan’s office to eat his snacks, which Jun-Wan gives him a look as if he was trying to say “how dare you”
Ik-Soon breaks up with Jun-Wan
Jun-Wan calls Ik-Soon after she requested for a private conversation. She then tells him that she has fallen for someone else, apologizes to him. Jun-Wan asks if it is Se-Gyeong and Ik-Soon remains silent. She tells him that she has to go and hangs up the call.
Ik-Joon who is standing at Jun-Wan’s office door, seem to have hear their conversation and notice that Jun-Wan was talking with his girlfriend.
A heart is available for Eun-ji
After staying strong for her baby, Min-Chan’s mother receives the good news from Jun-Wan that a heart is available for Min-Chan’s. Jun-Wan also gives the breakdown of potential complications about the surgery; however, he tells them that this moment is what they have been waiting for and he wants to save Eun-ji, not be the one who screws it up.
The Ending of Hospital Playlist Season 2 Episode 4
Ik-Soon rings Ik-Joon first, which was unusual as Ik-Joon mentions. Ik-Soon then told him that she received her liver diagnostic results that says her somantic index is over 300 and bile ducts are swollen. Ik-Joon assures his sister that he will book her flight back home immediately and not to worry because he will make sure that she will be fine. And if she needs to undergo surgery, Ik-Joon will do it for her.
Ik-Soon requested Ik-Joon not to tell anyone about it… specifically Jun-Wan. Ik-Joon is in shock as he looks at Jun-wan who is with him, probably knowing what all this means.
