1. The drama tugs at your heartstrings
The anguish and sadness of growing up without a mother, the thoughtfulness of an old woman not wanting to be a burden to her children, the sadness of unfulfilled dream of becoming a successful singer after the manager ran away with the money funded for the album release are some of the stories that Gongjin villagers have to tell to the viewers.
Hye-jin (played by Shin Min-A) moves to Gongjin province to start a new life and career after she walked out from her boss’s office at one of Seoul’s dental clinic. Ruining her career after a public post, she settles and opens her clinic at Gongjin seaside village. The contrast between the city and the countryside manners clashes between Gongjin villagers and her, but gradually changes as both the villagers and Hye-jin unfold their life stories behind the actions and decisions they make. Kim Seon-Ho, popularly known as “Good Boy” from StartUp KDrama series and won the hearts of many fans, plays the leading man role for Hong Du-sik (also known as Chief Hong in the drama). 3. The drama shows a beautiful and refreshing seaside sceneries of Pohang
According to kpopmap, the fictional place of “Gongjin” is actually part of Pohang, a city in the North Gyeongsang province of South Korea. This beautiful seaside scenery is one of the highlights of this drama. It depicts how relaxing living at a countryside could be.
4. The drama unfolds a romantic, kilig love story
A man falling in love with a woman at first sight, it sounds like a cliché love story. But what makes it good to watch is the chemistry between the actors/actresses who plays the role that gets the viewers engaged. It has been ranking up in the ratings as more episodes airs on television.
With much anticipation, viewers are looking forward for more kilig moments to unfold between Hong Du-sik and Yoon Hye-jin.
