In the previous season, Gabriel was supposed to go back to his hometown in Normandy to open his own restaurant after turning down his girlfriend Camille and her family’s money so he can open his own restaurant. The couple eventually broke up when Gabriel got fed up by feeling pitied upon Camille and her family and wants to prove that he can do things by himself without any financial help from her.

With Gabriel’s break-up with Camille and scheduled flight back to his hometown the next day, Emily’s goodbye to Gabriel turned into a night of sex. Much to her surprise to see him the next morning that he will be staying since he found Antonio as investor for his restaurant right there in Paris. At a timely situation, Emily receives text from Camille saying she need talk to Emily about Gabriel.

The episode starts with Emily running at the park trying to clear her head about the one night stand with Gabriel and how things are heading with her, Gabriel and Camille. Back in her apartment, Mindy finds Emily looking troubled and asks what happened. So Emily tells her about everything. She says she expects to never see Gabriel again, but here he is staying in Paris; Camille is all suspicious and asking Emily for a talk after she heard the news about Gabriel staying.

Trying to settle her situation and guilt feelings, she confronts Gabriel outside his restaurant that she never meant to interfere in anyone’s relationship. While the two were talking, Antoine steps outside and invites her to tasting dinner tomorrow night which she confidently declines and says she will be in Saint Tropez with Mathieu Cadault. Gabriel could not believe his ears as if he was sure there is something between him and Emily. Emily nervously chuckles, says her good bye and rushes off to the next street leaving a confused Gabriel.

In the office, Emily is surprised to know that Sylvie has asked Luc to look into Champere, an account that Emily handles and is Camille’s family business. Thinking quick on her toes to avoid Camille, she tells them that probably she does not need to be in the meeting with them so they could just tell Camille that she went home sick. Julian comes into the room and tells them that Camille has already arrived, does not look happy and is looking for Emily. Everyone looks at Emily, and Luc points out that she is looking pale.

Emily greets Camille at the lounge, gives her a hug and tries to cheer her up that Gabriel and her are staying in Paris. But she is not happy. Camille says Gabriel is not staying for her and she knows something else is behind everything.

After the client meeting, Camille, Emily and Sylvie goes out for lunch together, after Emily plead with Sylvie to join them. Camille unleashes her thoughts about Gabriel’s change of plans that it was Antonio who is behind Gabriel’s staying at Paris, much to Emily’s relief. Then later on Camille says that he is also acting weird and there is still something else behind this. And seeing how the conversation makes Emily uncomfortable, Sylvie is able to catch up with what is actually going on.

Camille excuses herself to go to the bathroom and Sylvie grabs this opportunity to confirm things with Emily – that she is having an affair with the chef Gabriel. Emily defends herself that Gabriel is staying in Paris not for her, and Camille is her friend. But Sylvie brushes her off by saying these two statements are totally unrelated. Emily continues to defend that she is not having an affair with Gabriel and confidently says that she is going to Saint Tropez with Mathieu this weekend. Sylvie smirks and tells Emily that she just intends to focus on having sex with a client to get her mind off her friend’s boyfriend. Emily is caught on the spot.

Matthieu and Emily boards the train going to Saint Tropaz for a romantic date. At his restaurant kitchen, Gabriel receives a call from Emily. He asks where she is and she tells him that she is on board a train with Matthieu. Gabriel sighs and tells Emily he could not believe the girl he stayed in Paris for does not want him. Emily tells Gabriel to stop saying that she is the reason he stayed. Gabriel tries to know if Emily has not felt anything about him, or about them. Emily opens up and tells him that she could not stop thinking about him too, but she have to. She does not want to hurt Camille, and so is he, he says.

Emily assures him that it was a night she will never forget but was clearly a mista- and before she finishes her sentence, Matthieu clears his throat behind her making her end the call abruptly. After confrontation that Emily slept with the chef after agreeing with him going to Saint Tropaz, Matthieu gets his luggage and gets off the train leaving her. He says he can not do this with a girl who is in love with someone else.

The train engine starts with Emily still onboarded and Matthieu standing on the train platform with his luggage, shaking his head in disappointment at Emily.
