The Daily Life of the Immortal King (Chinese: 仙王的日常生活, Pinyin: Xian Wang de Richang Shenghuo) is a donghua or Chinese animation based on the same name of a Chinese novel by Kuxuan. The novel is published by Qidian of China Literature in Chinese and Webnovel in English. It began daily serialization in 2017. The Daily Life of the Immortal King Season 1 Episode 5 recap
The episode starts with rabbit-faced assassins from Shadow Faction watching Sun Rong and the new members of the group are therefore deployed to continue on the mission to eliminate Sun Rong.
The Shadow Faction leader tracks Sun Rong who is following Wang Ling, but like the most, the leader believes he is harmless. Guo Hao and Chen Chao are keen to hear about Wang Ling’s date and notices Sun Rong’s bodyguards gaggle up.
Teacher Wang walks forward and admits that they were at the amusement park and had stopped the assassins but Sun Rong had not noticed any. Zhuo Yi then steps in to claim that he has stopped assassins as instructed by Wang Ling on scene.
With how things could get worse from that point on, Zhou Yi explains their operation: protect Sun Rong. He proudly highlights the capacity of the school’s defense against these kind of threats both for land and air and assures Sun Rong that things will be all right.
Xu Feng of Shadow Faction, a master assassin, manages to get into the school killing the guards with chicken hammers as he goes. Zhuo Yi sees him on the camera and stops him. Wang Ling and his friends can hardly react as they are spilling the detail in group chats, seemingly impressed at how this assassin quickly defeated their school elite guards.
Another assassin, Xu Ying, knocks out the elite guards with a toxic gas but Teacher Wang gets to him. And the last assassin, Xu Jian, finds his way in as the others distract the protectors but Zhuo Yi keeps his watch on him through the camera.
Escaping Teacher Wang’s traps, Xu Ying makes a dash towards the office where Sun Rong is being protected but was knocked down by Wang Ling by simply opening the door. The first assassin Xu Feng defeats the team but has his spiritual force and life essence taken away by Tuntian, who then defeated Xu Feng after transforming into his Giant Frog appearance.
Cloaked in invisibility, assassin Xu Jian is troubled that he is the only assassin left and prepares to fight Wang Ling as he walks past him to receive a delivery after he provoked him that his assassination mission on Sun Rong has failed. Xu Jian exerts a high-energy reaction and hits Wang Ling with his hammer jack but Wang Ling was able to cancel his magic out and was defeated by Wang Ling. Zhuo Yi quickly rushes to the rooftop to check on Wang Ling. As soon as he got there, Wang Ling uses his trick on Zhuo Yi that he is the one who eliminated the assassins.
