The original casts from Season 1 have confirmed and will be reprising their respective roles for Hospital Playlist Season 2. The original five member doctor casts are Jo Jung-suk (who plays Lee Ik-Jun), Yoo Yeon-Seok (who plays Ahn Jeong-Won), Jung Kyung-Ho (who plays Kim Jun-Wan), Kim Dae-Myung (who plays Yang Seok-Hyeong) and Jeon Mi-Do (who plays Chae Song-Hwa).
2. Answers to cliffhanger ending of Season 1
Hospital Playlist Season 2 will provide answers to the cliffhanger ending of the previous season. Three of the cliffhangers that fans would love to know are Song-Hwa’s answer to Ik-Jun’s confession of feelings right before he leaves for a symposium in Spain, Seok-Hyeon’s relationship between his ex-wife and Min-Ha, his resident doctor who already expressed her interest in him and lastly, if Jun-Wan’s discreet (or secret, if we can say) relationship with Ik-Sun will ever be found out and how will Ik-Jun respond to it.
3. A bit deeper. A bit more heartwarming.
Director Shin Won-Ho has described season 2 in three keywords: relatability, emotions and rythm. “For the new episodes in season 2, we’re working hard to not disrupt the foundational sentiment and atmosphere of Hospital Playlist that underlies the story,” he said, per Soompi, adding that the show will “maintain the warm emotions” “but it’ll portray the stories and relationships with even more depth”.
Last May 13, the official tvN Youtube channel released a dramatic 40-second teaser. The clip notes that Hospital Playlist Season 2 will not be just another “medical blockbuster” but will focus on “trivial and normal” stories.

Last May 27, tvN followed up the fans with seconds of light-hearted teasers that revolves on the doctors’ personal life.
Last June 3, tvN shared another teaser, this time it revolves around the side characters, could be hinting that supporting casts will get to share the limelight in the upcoming season.
Last June 10, tvN shared again another two-minute clip, hinting now that Song-Hwa is ready to to respond to Ik-Jun’s confession
4. More Mido and Falasol band music
Hospital Playlist Season 1 centred around the doctors’ music band called Mido and Falasol performing weekly practices. Fans could expect more of this as casts revealed that there will be many great songs” in the upcoming series.
5. Deeper relationships
In an interview with tvN, Jung Kyung-Ho hints that “the love story of five of us (will be) included (in the upcoming season) while Yoo Yeon-Seok says “please look forward to the deeper friendship between us.”
